I am a junior at Washington University in St Louis studying computer science and design. I am interested in front-end and back-end web development, mobile app development, communication design and entrepreneurship. I would like to use these diverse skills to become a better programmer and entrepreneur, hoping to work on both the technical and creative aspects of the projects I am engaged in.

As webmaster of the IDEA Labs National network, I attend weekly board meetings and collaborate with the leadership to individually manage the server, domains, front-end and back-end of the website. I am currently working on redesigning the IDEA Labs website to change the focus of IDEA Labs from a local chapter to a national network of groups and make it more user-friendly in order to attract more sponsors.

LaunchCode is a St. Louis based non-profit startup that aims to create economic opportunity through apprenticeships and job placements in technology. At LaunchCode, I Pair-programmed in Ruby on Rails with employees and interns to improve the existing website. Additionally, I coordinated with the operations and education teams to make web pages for ongoing educational events. I also worked on a prototype for a website that will provide beginner programmers a guide to introductory programming in many languages.
As senior online editor for Student Life, I managed the website using Wordpress and the LAMP stack, and redesign and add features to the website as required. I am currently working on a new iPhone app for the newspaper in order to help retain and increase readership in an audience that is increasingly moving online. Link: www.studlife.com
In addition to the responsibilities of a teaching assistant, I guided and mentored 6 new teaching assistants, was a "point person" for specific questions on the exams and was involved in organizing regrades for students.
As a teaching assistant for CSE 131 in my fourth semester, the introductory computer science course, I attended lab sessions and office hours for five hours a week helping 50-100 students understand Java. I also graded labs weekly and exams twice a semester.
As webmaster of IDEA Labs, I am independently working to completely redesign the existing website, and have both creative and technical responsibility for its implementation.

I am part of a team of four students that is working to develop a news app for Student Life, Washington University's newspaper. We are making the app in Xcode using Objective-C.

My team created a web app which helps avid concert goes plan itineraries if they need to travel to watch their favourite artists live. We used the metoer.js framework and worked with the APIs of stubhub and tripadvisor to make this.
